Altogether 60 transport inspectors participated in the mandatory training for the Transport Authority during three different occasions. Live Animal Transportation was one of the themes taught. Although the primary responsible Competent Authority is the Police, the Transport Authority is equally empowered to check corresponding animal-related legislation beside their usual technical check of the transporting vehicle. Participants had an opportunity to inspect different types of animal trailers and were taught how animal specific equipment such as ventilation system, temperature monitoring systems and water systems works. We offered our services also during the road inspections.

20 Traffic inspectors attended our training on animal welfare during transport. The training is a part of the mandatory trainings that the Traffic inspectors need to attend. During the training participants where able to inspect an animal transport trailer.
