At the clinic: The health of every animal is carefully examined before the neutering procedure.
AWF|TSB dog Drops was probably poisoned. Sadly, the vet had to euthanise him.
In March, our team continues with their work to help cats and dogs in need during the COVID-19 pandemic. There are many stray cats and dogs in Poland. In addition, many animal owners neither have enough money to neuter the animals or properly look after a growing number of animals. Therefore, managing the population growth of cats and dogs in Poland is an important contribution to animal welfare. This month, our team organised the neutering of six dogs (female and male) and ten cats.
Two of the neutered cats belong to two brothers. Since December, our team has been looking after their animals. Sadly, one of the brothers passed away in February. The younger brother must now look after the animals by himself. Still, a few more of the cats need to be neutered. Some of the cats are very wild. Therefore, catching them will be a challenging task for our team.
Later in March, our team receives very sad news. A dog called Drops that was adopted by AWF|TSB a few years ago by our farrier’s daughter, had to be euthanised. We suspect that Drops was poisoned. Our team is devastated that there was nothing the vet could have done for Drops, but to let him go.
Next month our team will continue with their work for cats and dogs in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.
