Die Kinder haben viel Spass beim Versuch zu erraten für was einige der Werkzeuge verwendet werden.
Der praktische Teil war auch sehr interessant für die Kinder.
Vor allem als Michal ihnen zeigte, wie man die Hufe eines Pferdes korrigiert.
During the summer, our FAS team decided to organize trainings about animal welfare for children spending their holidays at summer camps. Our farriers visited two places a few times: a rancho in Kochanow and a riding center in Srodborze. The trainings include a theoretical part in the form of a presentation, and a practical part based on everyday work of our team.
In July, Michal and Bogdan met three different groups of children. They talked about animals’ basic needs, including five freedoms, about appropriate animal care and about animals’ emotions and feelings. The children surprised our farriers with their knowledge and involvement. The children were very interested in the subjects covered, asked a lot of questions and listened attentively.
We believe that building empathy in children will help create adults who know how to properly care for animals.
