Poland | Gdańsk | Police (ITD) training – practical part

Early morning we are driving about 60 km south-west of Gdańsk to the village of Stezyca. The representatives of ITD, veterinary inspection and the police are already there. As soon as we get out of the car, our team member spots the first truck, which is immediately stopped for inspection. All in all, during a very rainy morning, four vehicles are stopped: two empty, what with chicken, one with pigs, one long distance, three short distance, giving us a great opportunity to look in detail into different aspects of animal transport problems. Two drivers were fined, in two cases veterinary inspection will continue proceedings. The highlight of the day was great cooperation between the representatives of different authorities, giving hope for efficient joint inspections in the future.
