Controversial Transports on the High Seas: ORF Reports on Our Work

Behind the title "Controversial Animal Transport," German investigative journalist Edgar Verheyen, on behalf of ORF, illustrates the agonizing transports to which live animals are repeatedly subjected over long sea routes. Dead animals, casually disposed of into the waters of the Mediterranean, are commonplace on the dilapidated ancient ships. Iris Baumgärtner, Project Manager for Animal Transport at AWF, comments on the impossible conditions on the ships.
