Poland | Bodzentyn | Cattle market in Bodzentyn

Our team visits cattle market in Bodzentyn. It’s busy today, there is a lot of trucks and over 700 animals. We find a cow with broken and bleeding horn. We call the market vet who secured wound. We observe few emaciated animals with overgrown hooves and some with abrasions on the ischial bones. At the end of the market we notice bull with ingrown rope around horns. We informed transporter who moved the rope and market employee could disinfect the wound. We note the ear tag numbers and will request an inspection of the place of origin of these animals. One of the trader who was fined a week earlier in Łagów by ITD of 1500PLN fine, announced that they will start organizing informal market. Trader Ogonek loads cattle on two decks in swanneck again. This time no animal was left at the market.
